Jozy Altidore will spend the remainder of the 2010-2011 season in Turkey joining Bursaspor on-loan from Spanish club Villarreal.
This marks the third time that Altidore has been loaned out by the Yellow Submarine.
The New Jersey native was first loaned out in January 2009 to Spanish second division club Xerez which ended in disaster as the US international did not see a single minute of action with the club.
Prior to the beginning of the 2009-2010 season, Altidore was loaned to then-Premier League club Hull City where he appeared in 28 league contests but scored just one goal.
The American striker now joins a team that is gunning for its second straight Turkish Super Lig title. Bursaspor currently sit in second place in the league standings with 41 points, just two behind Trabzonspor.
Officials with Villarreal have confirmed that the loan will keep Altidore in Bursa until June.
"Jozy Altidore has been loaned to Bursapsor and will be with the club until the end of the season," Villarreal press officer Hernan Sanz told YA.
Altidore will hope to make his debut with Bursaspor when they host Sivasspor on Friday.
Hopefully he can somehow find the pitch and start scoring some goals. Since his transfer to Europe, Jozy has been very disappointing.
